Construction Hours: During what hours is it allowable for construction to be done (such as construction in ...
- Per Henderson Municipal Code, ... (more)
- Per Henderson Municipal Code, Section 8.84.030.E, construction is allowed between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.. Due to changes in Nevada Revised Statute, construction is allowed in many areas to begin at 5:00 am from April 1st-September 30th. This means, however, that no work of any kind related to a construction project can be done outside of those hours, including refueling or staging/moving of construction vehicles or equipment.
This regulation does not apply to golf course maintenance as golf course maintenance can begin prior to 6:00 a.m.
If you witness construction outside of those hours, you may contact us with the specific location, date and time(s), and type of work or vehicles. The more information you can provide, the quicker we can investigate to determine if a violation has occurred.

This matter is a private property matter between you and your neighbor and the City cannot assist you as there is not a violation of our Municipal Code. We would encourage you to contact an attorney to see what options are available.
Should the branches encroach onto your property (meaning they have grown on your side of the wall) you are allowed to cut them back to the property line, however you may be liable for damages to the tree.
You can also contact the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada as they assist homeowners with private property matters.

Temporary off-premises signs (political signs)may be installed on private properties pursuant to the standards described in the Henderson Development Code section 19.13.6 - Temporary Sign Standards. Recent court rulings do not permit the City from distinguishing signs of a political nature from any other types of temporary signs based solely on their content.
If the sign is placed on a State Highway you may also contact the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT). NDOT generally does not permit signs in their right of way. You can find additional rules here: https://files.clarkcountynv.gov/clarknv/Election%20Department/2022/NDOT-Signs-22.pdf.
These signs are allowed at this time.
