Certified copies of death certificates within 60 days after a death that occurred in Orange County may be purchased by visiting the Birth and Death Registration office located at: Birth and Death Registration 1200 North Main Street, Suite 100-A Santa Ana, CA 92704 . Payment can be made by cash, personal check, cashier's check or money order. The fee for each certified copy of a death certificate is $12.00 each. Copies of death certificates requested more than 60 days after the death may be obtained from the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department.
