Conditional Use Permit: What is a conditional use permit and how do I get one?

A Conditional Use Permit is a discretionary approval process for uses with unique or widely varying operating characteristics or unusual site development features. The procedure encourages public review and evaluation of a use’s operating characteristics and site development features and is intended to ensure that proposed conditional uses will not have a significant adverse impact on surrounding uses or the community-at-large. A conditional use permit requires a public hearing before the Planning Commission, which may approve, approve with conditions, or deny the application.

An application form for a Conditional Use Permit is available online, as are all of our applications. Or you may call us at 702-267-1500 and we'll be glad to fax an application to you. Don't forget to ask for an application filing schedule, too.
