Pet License: Pet license requirements for dogs, cats, and ferrets.

Henderson Municipal Code pertaining to licenses reads as follows: Every person owning, keeping, harboring or possessing within the City, any dog, cat or ferret over the age of three (3) months, shall within thirty (30) days after said pet attains the age of three (3) months or within thirty (30) days after first bringing said pet into the City, obtain for said pet a current pet license.

License fee for an animal that is not spayed or neutered is $25.00.
An unsterilized pet will also require a "breeder permit" obtained through Henderson Animal and Control. For breeder permit application please visit our website at https://www.cityofhenderson.com/government/departments/animal-control/animal-permit-applications

License fee for an animal that has been spayed or neutered spayed is $10.00. A current proof of rabies vaccine is also required to license your dog, cat, and ferret. https://www.cityofhenderson.com/government/departments/animal-control/pet-licenses

A senior citizen discount is also available for those 55 and older.
