Insurance Protection Letter: Does the City recommend any company for insurance

The City of Henderson has partnered with HomeServe to offer optional Water Service Line, Sewer Line, and Interior Water & Drainage Line protection plans to Henderson customers. Additional information about available plans and enrollment options will be shared as the program becomes available.

These protection plans are optional and are intended to help homeowners manage certain repair costs related to privately owned water and sewer lines. Customers are encouraged to review their homeowner’s insurance coverage and determine whether this type of additional protection is right for their household needs.


As a homeowner, you are responsible for maintaining certain water and sewer lines that serve your property. In most residential areas, the City maintains the water line up to the water meter, which is typically located near the sidewalk or front of the property. Any leaks or repairs needed on the customer side of the meter, between the meter and the home, are the responsibility of the property owner.
