FAQ

Water Line Repair and Maintenance: What part of the water line am I responsible for maintaining and repairing? What should I do if I have a water line problem?

Per Henderson Municipal Code (HMC) 14.03.020D: "The customer is responsible for all plumbing, piping, and appurtenances from the service connection to the point of use."

The service connection is the point where water leaves the meter and enters the private water service line serving the property.

City Responsibilities

  • Repairing leaks and damages occurring on the City-owned side of the service connection.
  • Paying costs associated with maintenance and repairs on the City-owned side of the service connection.

Property Owner Responsibilities
