AmeriCorps
is a network of local, state, and national service programs connecting
participants to meet community needs in education, environment, public safety,
health, and homeland security. The City
of Henderson AmeriCorps members have served approximately 1200 hours and
reached 150 students across seven Henderson elementary schools. AmeriCorps is currently accepting applications
which can be found at the City of Henderson Education Initiatives website.
