I sold my car, how do I get a replacement permit?

Parking permits are not transferrable from one vehicle to another. If you sell your car or if your car is in an accident you must return your old permit to receive a new parking permit for your current vehicle. If you do not have your old permit, the DMV Release of Liability or a repair order from the auto repair show must be presented in order to receive a replacement permit. The permits are designed to tear apart and will read VOID after being removed from your vehicle. Write down the number of the current permit before removing it from the vehicle.
