Water, Sewer and Stormwater Atlases: How do I obtain these documents?

Per NRS239C210-240, and City of Henderson Records Operating Procedures and Directives (ROP-010 and Records Directive 007), Water, Stormwater, and Sewer Atlases containing sensitive infrastructure information are considered to be restricted documents. Copies of these documents may only be provided to individuals meeting one or more of the following criteria:

  • With a lawful order of a court of competent jurisdiction;
  • As is reasonably necessary in the case of an act of terrorism or other related emergency;
  • To protect the rights and obligations of a governmental entity or the public;
  • Upon the request of a reporter or editorial employee who is employed by or affiliated with a newpaper, press association or commercially operated and federally licensed radio or television station and who uses the restricted document in the course of such employment of affiliation; or
  • Upon the request of a registered architect, licensed contractor or a designated employee or any such architect or contractor who uses the restricted document in his professional capacity.

  • If you do meet one or more of the listed criteria, you will need to provide the following items prior to being issued a copy of an Atlas: Driver's license/government identification, your name, the name of your employer, and the purpose for the inspection.
    If you do not meet one or more of the criteria, you may view the documents, but you may not reproduce/copy them.

    Documents may be viewed and/or copied (depending on if the criteria listed above has been met) at City of Henderson City Hall, Development Services Center Records, 240 Water Street, Henderson, Nevada.
