Home Buyer Program: How can I get assistance to purchase a home?

There are two programs available to help purchase a home:

The Housing Division administers a program to assist with down payment and closing costs for qualifying applicants when purchasing a home in Henderson. Applicants must have lived or worked in Henderson for one year and must attend a homebuyer education class prior to applying. Eligibility is based on annual household income, not to exceed 80% of area median income (AMI). For more information please call 702-267-2000 or visit our webpage for First Time Home Buyer Program.

Home Again: Nevada Homeowner Relief Program is a free public service from the Office of the Nevada Attorney General that seeks to educate Nevada residents on the housing resources that may or may not be available to them. A state-wide program, Home Again encourages residents to call the hot-line (1-855-457-4638) and speak to representative about their housing situation. The Home Again program is designed for:

•Those seeking credit restoration
•Those planning to buy their first home
•Those looking to modify their home loan
•Those who are facing foreclosure

The Home Again Program may also assist with first time homebuyer education and can see if you are eligible for down payment assistance. The no-fee service is available for all Nevadans simply by calling toll free 1-855-HLP-4-NEV (1-855-457-4638). The call center is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and assistance is available in both English and Spanish. For more information about the program click here.
