Resources for private legal issues: Can I obtain legal advice from the City Attorney or have the City Attorney represent me in a legal proceeding?

No, the City Attorney is the legal adviser of the City Council and all officers of the City in matters pertaining to the affairs of the City. For questions involving private matters, consult a private attorney or a legal services agency. You can also contact the Nevada State Bar Lawyer Referral Service at 702-382-0504 or toll free at 800-789-5747, and if you are over 60, you may also contact the Southern Nevada Senior Law program at 702-229-6596.
