- To legally hold a yard sale in the City of Perris, you need to purchase a Yard Sale permit. To learn more about the city code governing yard sales, see Perris Municipal Code Chapter 5.3. If you hold a yard sale without a permit, you can be cited for a code violation.
Yard Sale permits are for residents within the City limits of Perris only. County residents do not need a permit.
You can obtain a yard sale permit at Perris City Hall during normal office hours
(Monday -Thursday 8 am – 6 pm)
To purchase a yard sale permit...
You will need a valid Drivers License or Identification card. If the address on your Drivers License or Identification card is not current, you will also need to bring proof of current address (ex: utility bill) that has your name.
The cost of the permit is $7 (or $15 prepaid for three permits to be used before 12/31 of that year) and we accept cash, debit, Visa, and MasterCard.
