Using guidelines developed by the California Department of Social Services, a social worker makes an assessment of your need for in-home care based on your medical condition, your living arrangements, and what assistance you may be receiving from your family, friends, and/or available community services. Your Needs Assessment will determine which services you are authorized. Your doctor may be consulted about your medical condition.
