WIC is available to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and to infants and young children up to age 5 who meet the following criteria:
*Income - The family income must be at or less than 185% of the current federal poverty level. Families with low or moderate-income levels may qualify.
*Residence - Participants must reside in Orange County. *Nutrition Risk - Participants must have a nutritional risk as determined by a health professional. The nutrition evaluation is based on: height & weight, hemoglobin and health history and diet assessment. *Status - Participants must be a pregnant woman, a postpartum woman up to six months, a breastfeeding woman up to twelve months; an Infant (0-1 year of age); or a Child (under 5 years of age).
